MVAA Banquet

Mountain View has a banquet each year for the top athletes in the school.  The coaches  choose one boy and one girl from each grade in each sport to attend.  It is a big honor and they make it a big deal.   Coelton was chosen to attend for cross country.

We were invited to attend with him.  The gym was decorated nice and they made posters of each of the athletes and hung them around the gym.  They called them up one at a time and read something that the coach said about them and gave them a T-shirt and a plaque.  He also got to take home his poster.

His coach said: "Coelton's work eithic is unmatched.  He is an outstanding person and it is an honor to have had him on the team these past three years.  Coelton helped lead the boys to the District runner-up spot as well as numerous first place finishes throughout the season.  He is a Varsity Cross Country runner who excelled in nearly every meet.  Coelton made the Varsity Cross Country team this past year because he was willing to put in the time and effort it takes to be one of the best."

It was an honor and privelege to be with Coelton that night and see what a fine young man he has become.  His extreme hard work has paid off and it was a joy to reap the reward with him.
Love you son.
Congratulations!
