Student of the Month

Chloe got student of the month in October.  She loves 3rd grade and her teacher Mr. Reed.  However, he is a BSU fan and he likes to have his class wear their BSU clothes on fridays.  We only own BYU clothes, so Chloe reluctnatly wears her BYU shirts and she says everyone makes fun of her.  haha
I love it and she still wears her shirts, but acts super nervous.  I dont make her, she just does.
Chloe has a good buddy to walk to the bus stop with.  Liz Simpson.

Homecoming

Caden went to Homecoming!  Being his senior year we challenged him to attend all of the dances this year.  He asked a gal in our ward, who is also a senior.  Josi Leinegar.  She's adorable.
He got a bunch of donut holes and put a tiny piece of paper inside with his name.  He wrapped it up cute and put a tag on it that said, "Donut you know it would mean a hole lot to me if we went to homecoming together?"
She answered him with a bunch of dum dum suckers that said "I would be a dum dum to not go to homecoming with you."  She wrote YES on one of the wrappers.
For their day date they went to the mall and played a game-
For the real date they had pictures at the park down town and then ate at Tipanyaki.  A place where they cook the food in front of you.  They went to the dance and then came to our house and had dessert.  Josh Eastman our nieghbor and ward member took TKaya Bell- a ward member and neighbor as well.  Ryan Ball, a ward member took a gal that he met while at BYS with Caden.

BYU vs BSU

BSU VS BYU!!  Back in 2004 the Cougars came to Boise to play the Broncos.  We had just moved to Pocatello and my guys drove back to Boise to go to the big game.
They played eachother again this year and we didn't think we could get any tickets!
Every time we tried to get some our conncetions fell through.
A few days before the big game we got a call from our neighbors the Hayes.  With all of their BSU connections they had some extra tickets and we scored 4!
Myself, Joel and Caden and Coelton went!
We didn't think Coelton would even be here for the game, we were just waiting for the phone to ring with his flight information to return to Peurto Rico.
He was so exctied!
Sad thing was they lost by 1 point.

Mr. Reed, Chloe's 3rd gread teacher and Joel and John Wilkinson all had a bet on the game.  If BSU won then Joel and John had to bring treats for the class and wear orange and red.
I made sugar cookies and John brought blue and orange suckers.
Mr. Reed wore BYU colors because he felt that BSU played horribly.  Joel found a BSU blue shirt in our closet that we got when we bought the Prius.  He had his BYU shirt on underneath and was planning to rip of the BUS one and give a shout out to BYU before leaving but he didn't do it.
GO BYU COUGARS!

I had my preschool class saying a chant...What do we eat? Bronco Meat!  Who do we hate? Boise State!  They loved it, but some would say, "But I do like BSU- just not Boise State."

My Cute Class

This year I have a class of 4-5 year olds with one little Oliver who is 3.  They are the cutest bunch!  Our class is on Tue and Thur from 9:15-11:45.  They make me smile and are eager to learn and have fun.  I even lucked out with 5 girls and 5 boys!

XC 2012

Caden had a good season.  He had a goal to get 18:40.  He got 18:55.  He had a struggle with some athsma issues.  He had horrible chest pains one Sunday evening and would grab his chest and moan.  The next morning he was getting ready to go to school and he was on the carpet crying cause his chest hurt so bad.  I took him to the doctor, but unfortunatley there is really nothing they can do...just take his meds.  Nose spray, albuterol and Advair.  He is his father's son.
This certainly played a negative factor in his racing.  Being a senior he really wanted to make a trip or two.  But that wasn't to be.  We are so proud of him and the discipline and hard work he put into running XC for Mountain View High School.  I don't know many who could do it...especially for 4 years. He earned the blanket for doing XC for 4 years.   Good job son!!  He earned a letter this year too!!

Hailey ran XC for her 3rd year at Lake Hazel.  She gets to move to the big high school next year.  She had a goal of 10 minutes for her mile and a half.  She got 10:08.  She learned many things this year.  Sleeping and eating habbits are so important if you want to run fast.  Also, training hard is vital. She also learned that racing is 90% mental.  She will have a great time in high school running because of all she learned in middle school.  So proud of her and what she achieved this year!!
Looking forward to next year!

This is Bob Firman invitational at Eagle Island.  Caden and Hailey ran this race.  Hailey ran with the middle schoolers.  Caden ran with the boys JV high school.  They both did a great job and ran hard.
