Hailey the Photographer

Hailey had to learn photography for an assignment in school.  She was supposed to learn a new talent.  Here is some of her work.  She would take pictures around the neighborhood and on the drive back from Idaho Falls.   She's pretty good.

Happy Birthday Caden

Look at my cute boy Caden!  He is 17 years old and I can't believe it was 17 years ago that my little snuggly boo was born.  He was my snuggliest baby, and just loved his mama.
We went to Fudruckers to celebrate cause that's where he wanted to go.  He got a nice new pair of VANS and a couple of Burton T-shirts.  Caden always makes me laugh, he is so silly and has the best sense of humor.  I love it!  He is also a good son and brother.  We're so proud of him and the fine young man he has become.  May all your wishes come true son...

Bogus Basin

Since Bogus didn't open until January 19, we didn't get to the mountain as much as we would have liked.   We managed to go about 5-6 times.  It's always so much fun and the girls are doing so well.  Chloe doesn't slow us down at all, and Hailey is getting pretty good with her turns.  Caden is always in the air when I see him.    We ended up with a few good snow storms this winter and some good snow to shred at Bogus.

Caldwell Clogging Competition

The girls had their first clogging competition in March.  This year it was held at College of Western Idaho.  Chloe is a beginning level and her dances are "Girls just wanna have fun" and "Life is what you make it".   Her team took a first place and qualified for nationals.

Hailey is dancing on a championship level this year.  She travels to nampa each week for her lessons.  Her team grew to 9 members.  They are all girls making that difficult jump from advanced to champ.  It's been a lot of work!  Her dances are "James Dean" and "Beat it"...yep, Michael Jackson.  This costume is the James Dean costume.  They got a second place at this competiton.  They missed a first place and qualifing for nationals by .03 points.  They will have another shot at nationals when they compete in Pocatello next month.

Valentines Day

This year we did our usualy Valentines Day Breakfast.  It's always a great way to start the day and the kids go to school feeling all loved and special.

We give them their Valentines cards that we write a letter in .  It's always a highlight for them and makes us feel good too.

I found the coolest things at the dollar store.  Not sure what they are called but you hit them really hard and all of a sudden it explodes and pops up into the cutest little balloon.  We had fun playing with those and trying not to have a heart attack when they popped.

Chloe's Valentines turned out adorable.  Her baptism shots worked perfect and Walgreens did the rest.

Primary Talent Show

Our ward did a really great Primary talent show.  All of the primary kids did a talent.  Chloe did a clogging routine.  She also was asked to dance with a couple of friends.  We were so proud of her, it was her first time dancing alone and she did great.  She stayed with the beat and was fabulous.
She danced to "Life is what you make it" by Hannah Montana.

Sweethearts

Caden went to the Sweethearts dance with Heather Hamblin.  It was the same day as Chloe's baptism.

Heather asked him with this candy bar poster-

He answered her with this candy bar poster

It's hard to read in this picture.  It says, Dear Heather, What a WHOPPER of a question!  I'm in RED HOT pursuit to give you an answer.  But LOOK, I need to take a moMENTOS to decide WERTHER or not to go.  We would SKOR a lot of FUN and I would be EXTRA lucky.  Like I just won 100GRAND.  I'm no DUM DUM and would fall to PIECES to go to SWEETHEARTS with you!

Heather had a choir thing all day, so she couldn't go on their day date until 2.  She picked up Caden and their group headed for the mall.  On the way, Kylan was driving...her car quit, right on the Franklin exit.  The busiest exit in Boise on a Saturday afternoon.
She as freaking out and Caden and Christian tried to push the car off the road, but it wouldn't budge.  When we asked Caden if he put the car into neutral...he said, "we didn't think of that."  He said people were honking and yelling and they were a little scared.
Finally a nice guy came along that helped them get the car to a parking lot off the road.  Kylan's Dad came and drove Caden straight to Chloe's baptism.  He walked in just in time.  He was in street clothes, but we were so glad he made it in time.
He took off to get to his Date's house before I could get a picture of him.  Hopefully I can get some pictures soon.  He sure looked handsome.
He had a great time!  They ate at one of the girl's houses and then went to the dance, after that  they went to Heather's house and played games.
I think this was Caden's 4th or 5th date!  He's having a good time and finds the cutest, sweetest girls to go with.
