Little Girls Camp

Hailey and her friend Jordyn decided to put together a summer camp for little girls ages 4-7.  They passed out a flyer designed by Aunt DaNae of course.  Before long they had a very full session.  13 girls.

The first day was PRINCESS DAY.  The little girls came to our house at 10am and wore their princess costumes.  They were pampered with a pedicure, manicure, up-do and make-up.  They also made a wand and did a princess parade and got their picture taken.  They were took their picture home.  For a snack they made sugar cookies with pink frosting and fun sprinkles.  The girls were picked up at 12:00.

The second day was LUAU DAY.  Once again they all came to our house and were escorted by Hailey and Jordyn who were dressed up like airline stewardesses, to their seat on the airplane.  Once they were all seated they took off for Hawaii.  They ate fruit snacks and watched a short video about the ocean.  When they landed they were escorted by Hailey and Jordyn who quickly changed into Hawaiian girls.  They went through the curtain of crepe paper into our garage that was transformed into a tropical paradise.  The little girls were given a flower ring and a flower hair clip.  They then made their own lei's and grass skirts.  Hailey and Jordyn taught them a hula dance.  They played fruit basket upset and did the limbo.  For a snack we made fruit smoothies and the girls drank them with a umbrella straw and a neat glass.  We flew back to Idaho and the girls went home.

The third day was BAKING DAY.   This was held at the Johnson's house.  The girls made their own cakes and decorated them just like "cake boss".  They also decorated their own apron.  They also played some games and loved making homemade lemonade from real lemons and eating chocolate brownies.

The fourth day was FUN IN THE SUN day.  The girls arrived in the swim suits and we had lots of water relays and had fun swimming  and going on the slip and slide.  They also made flip flops and tied strips of fabric on them.  They ate a fun ice cream treat and had fun playing in the water.

Hailey learned a lot through doing this camp and did a great job putting it all together.  She learned how to run a business and subtract expenses from profit money.  She was frugal, yet had quality things to do.

What an awesome experience for Hailey! Lily so would have loved that camp! What great things you are helping your kids learn and in such fun ways too. Soo cool. I'm going to have to store that in the brain for 5 years down the road.
