We arrived on Saturday and had a birthday party for Gary and Joel. Gary's b-day is the 28th and Joel's is the 29th. We had a nice dinner together. Most of the Hammer clan was in town. Most of the "out of towners" were all there except Jordan's family.
On Sunday we went to Austin's farewell. It was fun to be in my Dad's ward. Austin did a great job on his talk and has a gift of public speaking.
After the farewell we had a luncheon at Jarin and Carolyn's house.
We also had a dinner at my Dad's house with the Judy family. They were all in town, except Clint who is installing security systems in Ohio.
DaNae made a b-day cake for Joel. It was so delicious! We had the entire sheet cake devoured in little time. We all only got a small piece. I was so impressed with the cake I made it again when we got home! It was a pioneer Woman cake. I just love that pioneer woman!
We surprised Kayla after dinner with some gifts and a good luck party for her back surgery she would be having the next weekend. The older girl cousins all stayed together that night at Dad's.
We went to Aunt Julie's and watched a movie in her movie room. We love the movie room, cause she makes popcorn in her popcorn machine! We watched I AM Number 4.
On Monday we got up and went to the Ammon cemetery to see the gun solute and flag ceremony. I love that my family does this together. It's been a tradition since 1987. It's always a strange feeling to see Mom and Lori's headstones. I love to see them, it just never gets any easier. We walked around and saw several family members headstones and listened to Dad tell us the family history.
After the cemetery we went to get some lunch and ended up at Justin's office eating and having nerf wars. It's getting more and more difficult to find places all of us can hang out together. We're getting large with 41 of us to date.
The Hammer's are growing a lot with nieces and nephews getting married and having families. The original Hammer clan has a number of 53. The Wray's have 5 new members to their family and the Hewards have 6 new members. That's 64 total.
We went back to Shelley and packed up and said our good-bye's and made the journey back to Boise.
My family are buried just below this flag.
Love my Dad
My Mother
My sister
My grandpa Judy
