Speed Jump Championships

Hailey made the speed jump team at Mary McPherson Elementary again this year.  Only 4th and 5th graders can be on the team and they must try out and have the most jumps per minute.
4 girls and 4 boys are chosen from each grade.  2 front jumpers and 2 bachwards jumpers. 
Hailey made the front jumpers again.  They practice for 4 weeks and then go to Cenntenial High and compete in the championships with about 16 other elementary schools. 

The kids stand in front of 5 judges and when the music starts they start jumping.  The judges count one leg jumps.  Hailey had been getting in the 100's in a minute. 

Last year she made it to the semi finals and then the finals and then ended up taking 3rd place over all!

This year she had a difficult time.  Her growth spurt and nerves didn't mix well, and she didn't make it to the semi finals.  But she took it like a champ and will use this experience to learn and grow from.

WHEN IT"S FRIDAY AND YOUR HOUSE IS A WRECK AND YOUR HUSBAND IS FINALLY HOME TO WORK ON THE HONEY-DO LIST?

You kiss the kids good-bye and watch them drive away in the school bus, then run through the messy house and round up all your gear and

GO SKIING!! 

I called Chloe's freind's mom to see if she could play at her house for a while after kindergarten.  We were on the mountain at 10 and headed back at 3, we got home just as Hailey was getting off the bus. 

It was a glorious day! 

Happy Birthday Caden!

My Caden is now 15 years old.  He's so darn cute and such a fun kid to be around.  I think he had a pretty good day.  I took some cinnamon rolls to the school for him and his freinds at lunch time.  His freind's mom bought him a yummy pita at the pita pit for lunch.  When he got home from school we had dinner together and then wen to the movie.  He has read all of the lightening thief books and has wanted to see the new movie.  So, we went to the Lightening Thief.  It was enjoyable.

When we got home we had birthday cake and realized that all the b-day candles were gone, so we found these bad boys in the cupboard.

Happy Birthday Caden!  We love you!!
